When the pandemic hit, one of Chicago’s top seafood and produce distributors lost over 80% of the business as restaurants closed down. They quickly transformed their business to make home deliveries, but they needed some help.

We rebuilt their website including updating all the product photography, overhauled their acquisition strategy and actively managed the customer community with email marketing.

Customer reception has been incredible, with 58 5-star reviews (we only have 5-star reviews) on Google to date!

Customer Contests

The idea for MPS Customer Contests was all about celebrating the customer.

We were seeing some beautiful meals being shared sparingly on social media but we needed a way to get more participation. So we launched a customer contest, asking people to submit a photo and short description of their favorite meal created with MPS ingredients. We incentivized participation with a $200 gift card prize (and now have runners up win $50).

We then have a voting period where we collect email addresses and put them on an email flow with the goal of converting them into customers.

Not only do we get great participation, but we were also able to uncover some insights about how our customers were cooking.
